As an American living and working in Basel, Switzerland for the past 20 years you can guess that I love living the international life! Additional years included long term expat opportunities in England, France and Germany. Combined with working in various places throughout the US, I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful nomadic life.
Much to the pleasure of family, friends and work colleagues (their feedback – not mine), over the years I informally documented my travels with humor and photos. Emails, documents, newsletters and photo albums were created and distributed. Based on my written observations and stories, many were inspired to travel themselves to see the places where I had once visited.
Recently leaving the corporate life of communications, I have decided to pursue my true passion as a Freelance Travel Writer/Photographer.
As I continue my global journeys I feel it is now time to officially organize my thoughts, observations and photos into a travel blog. I guess this is the former Project Manager and Corporate Communications influence coming out. Which is why I have planned an occasional “Lessons Learned” section as well. And of course I will also add value by offering links and tips to help you discover your travel heart.
